June 29...

Hey Moms and Dads,
I am actually out of kamp for some great time with my hubby but wanted to still let you know the download of the girls day.

Verse: Philippians 2:2: "Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being on in spirit and purpose."

Morning/Afternoon: It was a normal day of Higher Ground schedule. The girls are all roaming for their 6 periods a day with the same group of girls (ex. all basketball girls will go together to 6 periods a day and only 3 of them are actually doing basketball and then the other 3 are fun activities). We have 1 more day after this of the Higher Ground schedule then the kampers begin their individualized schedule.

Night: K-LIFE TONIGHT! Joe White, our owner and K2 lead director, is speaking tonight on Creation. It is an awesome message to show kids truth about what schools are teaching on evolution. Joe has facts, quotes, and notes on his talk. Kids soak it up and it is so neat to watch their faces and Joe brings truth in a creative way.

Window to their World,

Hey Ashley

This is Kim Wright - - Taylor and Lesley's mom. Thanks for doing this blog. To say the least you have been a huge part of both of my girls life.

Taylor is now at LSU and I know that she chats with you sometimes. She is involved and becoming more involved in "The Refuge", the church on LSU campus. She talks about you all the time and through all the Freshmen things, leaving home, sororities, fraternities (haha), football games, and parties - - she still loves the Lord.

Now you have Lesley in your care. Her love for the Lord is very deep and sincere. She has faced some real struggles in high school but has remained strong in her faith. If not for her faith, her Kamp experience, Victor's Crown, and your prayers I don't know if she could have made it. The Lord isn't supposed to give you more than you can handle but he has really challenged her faith.

Kanakuk and people like you Ashley is why our kids are prepared and can face this big cruel world they are in for 50 weeks out of the year.

Thanks for making the sacrifice to do what you do. Not only are you an amaing role model but you have been a good friend to Taylor and now to Lesley. God Bless to you and Shay - - you will be awesome parents.

Kim
