Tank Tops for Summer...

this is one I bought...love pink!!!
this is one from Old Navy's website...i think they are called "long layering tanks"

Hey girls,
Well, I can tell that summer is coming because I am getting lots of questions from staff and kampers! Oh, I just can't wait for you to get to K2!!! Okay, so I gave you a great place to go to get a bathing suit for kamp and now we tackle tank tops. I have recently bought 2 very cute tanks from Old Navy. In Branson, they were like 2 for $10.00. Great deal! I love the ones from Old Navy because I layer them (2, usually a white underneath and a color on top) and they are longer than most tanks! Which is a plus. The straps on these are fine...we just don't want the spaghetti straps! Hope this helps some of you!

Great site for your Kamp Swimsuit...

Hey friends,
Well, today I thought I would blog about swimsuits. I am starting to think of ordering one because of the bump that daily, and I do mean daily, is getting bigger and bigger with little Baby Robbins! Last year a great kamper, although I can't remember who told me about this site but I know she was a great kamper, showed me http://www.swimoutlet.com/. It's like great brands but better prices. It's awesome! They have the normal blue, black, and red speedos...but then they have really cool designs. The have over 400 "competition swimsuits" that are perfect one-pieces for Kamp. Once you go to the main web-page then click competition swimsuits and there ya go...400 to choose from (I lied, some of them are 2 pieces...don't do those, not that they are bad but modest is hottest at Kanakuk!). Have fun shopping!!! Not sure which one I'm going to purchase but I know it will need to be a bit bigger than normal...I'm going to be a whale by July if this keeps up!

I love K2 pool fun-n-sun (everyone take this class and I'll get to hang with you!)

p.s. my computers acting up so I had more pictures of other bathing suits from the site and it won't let me download....so check out www.swimoutlet.com (i should get paid by them for advertising...:) Once you get to the page, click women's swimwear, then competition swimwear for the one pieces.

The "thing" for Ashley Robbins is...

BIG HAIR BOWS!
(senior picture pose in front of the washer pit at K2...i'm 28 and taking senior pics is still hysterical!)
Well, friends, there you have it! Like it or not I will be sporting a hair bow each and every day at K2 this summer. I have some small ones, big ones, and some size of my own head ones! So girls, get out your hair bows from 5th and 6th grade (or from a month ago for some who love hair bows) and bring them to kamp this summer. It's sure to be a hit...well, even if it's not a hit, I'll be wearing them!
MOMS/Daughters/Random folks on this site: If you have any bows that are no longer being used I would love any donations. The bigger the better. You can mail them to the Kamp address:

Panic Moment of a Future Mom...

Girls, I had a somewhat panic moment today as I sat at my desk. It was around 3:36 pm and I was quite tired. Supposedly, that's normal, but still weird because nothing has changed necessarily in my body. Anyways, so I look down at the book I had grabbed from my house out of fear that it would get tossed into a bag then tossed into storage then lost forever. My friend, Bronwyn, loaned me the book and I have barely grazed the pages. I am still somewhat wigged out that right now as I type these words there is a CHILD in my BELLY! What!!!!!! Anways, so I thought I would fill you in on my panic moment of my life right now as a clueless-what-just-happened-this-is-not-real-future mom.

Chapter 5: The 1st Month:
"By the end of the first month, your baby is a tiny, tadpole-like embryo, smaller than a grain of rice. In the next two weeks, the neural tube (which becomes the brain and spinal cord), heart, digestive tract, sensory organs, and arm and leg buds will begin to form."

MY COMMENTARY:
What are arm/leg "buds?" (please no one answer this for real, I know, just trying to give you a hearty laugh...and by "know," I mean I'll google it later...hehe!)

Chapter 6: The 2nd Month:
"By the end of the second month, the embryo is more human-looking, about 1 1/4 inches long from head to buttocks (one-third of it is they head), and weighs about 1/3 ounce. It has a beating heart, and arms and legs with the beginnings of fingers and toes. Bone starts to replace cartilage."

MY COMMENTARY:
What a funny looking kiddo? Wonder if the Lord did that just being funny? 1/3 ounce with a alien head! :)

Chapter 7: The 3rd Month: (I am presently in this month...I'm 10 Weeks along)
"By the end of the third month, this tiny human, now a fetus, is 2 1/2 to 3 inches long and weighs about 1/2 ounce. More organs are developing; circulatory and urinary systems are operating; the liver produces bile. Reproductive organs are developed, but the gender of the fetus is difficult to distinguish externally."

MY COMMENTARY:
Again, what in the world? First off, "embryo" is a child from the 1st day of conception. Second off, yuck, bile!

Well, there are my thoughts from today's panic moment!

crazy mom,
