July 8...

Hey Kanakuk Moms and Dads,
Well, day 2 for some of your girls is under way! And for the 25 day parents day 14...man, it is flying! I sure hope you guys are enjoying the time together or maybe with younger siblings! I know you miss your daughters but K2 Term 2/4 are rollin' strong! This place is just so much fun! Here is the run down of the day...

Verse: John 1:12: "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."

Morning: We had Unity Day on the Girls side. All our 25 day girl cabins got to run around and do 3 different activities with their cabin to just get some hang time! All our new 13 day girls (we are so pumped they are here!) also did activities but the activities were buying Kanakuk clothing with their alloted allowance on their account, swimming a lap to make sure all can swim (or we know who can/can't, and getting the cabin photo taken which gets sent during January-ish. It was a fun morning!

Afternoon: We headed to 4th and 5th period like normal. All the new gals got their individual schedule and so we started classes. We didn't have a 6th period because it's a party night!

Night: AMIGOS, AMIGOS, AMIGOS!! Tonight is our party night. We have tacos/fajitas with delicious sopa-pias (not sure how to spell that :) and then had a carnival where all the kampers could earn "pesos." It was awesome! Then we had a Market where they could spend the pesos on coke, candy, face painting, glow blacelets and some other stuff I can't remember for some reason (pregnancy forgetfulness :)! After the Market we had a Fiesta Dance Party! It was awesome! We had lights strung all across the tennis courts! It was so much fun!
