Hey Kanakuk Moms and Dads,Well, today is SUNDAY! Woohooo!!!! K2 kampers loves Sundays because you get to sleep in later than normal. We have an open breakfast for them to come and go and then we have church in my favorite spot at K2 overlooking the lake! It is beautiful here today!
Verse: Colossians 2:14: "Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
Morning: We had K2 church and had 2 phenomenal speakers. Whitney Turner, a gal on our leadership team, spoke about being passionate for Christ! Followed up by Parker Jackson, a K2 triathlete counselor and coach, who spoke about living it out. It was so great and K2 church truly is such a special time. Then the cabins broke down for FCA huddle groups to talk through the speakers and to share what they learned.
Afternoon: We began the Holiday Holapalooza party this afternoon. We had President's Day trivia at the pool, christmas cookies/valentines cards in the dining hall, and July 4th at the dock. It was such a blast!
Night: HOLIDAY HOLAPALOOZA! This party had every holiday...well, okay, not every single one but close. We celebrated Thanksgiving with the most yummy meal and a K2 football game. Then we had a parade that took all the kampers down to the Christmas dance where we had dancing and lights and also groups would go to the dining hall for a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit! Yummy! We ended with all the girls at Backwoods where we had the "ball drop" for New Years and fireworks! It was a great party!
