Hey Kanakuk Term 1 Parents and Friends,So sorry for being a day late...I didn't even get to a computer yesterday! That means it was a full and awesome day! Here is the run down:
Women of the Bible Study: Anna / Luke 2:36-38
Verse of the Day: Psalm 25:9
Morning: We had a normal 1-3 class schedule. It was great. All our specialties are just phenomenal. From the girls in All Around (which is crazy games, etc) to hardcore in Triathlete (those girls are fast runners and I'm sore :) we are having a ball.
Afternoon: We had our normal 4th and 5th period classes. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays of the term the girls have "optional" period for 4th period. They can either go to the pool, tennis courts/adventure area, Backwoods, church and then selected cabins get to go make these award sticks. They literally whittle the stick, add feathers, bells, leather and they make this awesome stick dealy. It sounds not so cool...but it is! Promise!
Night: 2050 GALATICA SPECTACULA! Party nights are oh so fun! There were some crazy outfits: Avatar people, star wars characters, solar systems and just silly costumes (I went as a bumblebee...last minute planning :)!!). We ate dinner, "took off" in a space ship, and then had to put our ship that had been taken over back together with these games to earn space bucks...it was tons of fun! We then had a spectacula dance! It was awesome!
