July 21...

Hey Kanakuk Term 3/5 Parents and Friends,
Well, today has been well, very warm!!! I love it! I'm sure that is weird for most of you to read but I just love Term 3/5 when it is just blazin' hot and yet at Kamp smiles are still on faces! Here is the rundown of the day...

Women of the Bible Study: Hannah / 1 Samuel 1:1-28
Verse: Philippians 4:6-7

Morning: We had our first full day of Higher Ground today. (See yesterday post to learn about Higher Ground). We had our morning classes where each specialty stays together for all 6 periods of the day for these first 5 days. Anyways, it was a great morning of classes!

Afternoon: Again, not lots to report except the girls were lovin' life if they had picked any type of water classes. We had periods 4-6 and it was a great afternoon!

Night: K-LIFE TONIGHT! We have K-Life tonight which is a night of awesomeness! The kampers come into the girls gym and go crazy with some fun Lecrae or some fun dance song, we have a skit or fun video, have praise and worship, and then a speaker. Tonight is Dr. Joe White and his message is on Creation. I think if it's a clear night he will take the talk part up to our upper fields to do his message under the stars above. Really cool! Please be praying for kampers to know that everything about them, EVERYTHING, was knit together by the Ultimate Creator!

Trips started today too...our 25 day kampers and our oldest 13 day kampers get to go on K-Wet (all water activities, stay overnight) or K-Wild (all hiking, rapelling etc activities and stay overnight). K-Wild is not required so the girls can tell us if they want to go. K-Wet is required (trust me girls love K-Wet so it's a favorite trip). This morning after breakfast the girls of cabin 17 & 18 headed just across the cove to our K-Wet campsite to spend 2 nights there! It's such an awesome time of cabin bonding and I'm sure they are having a blast!

Hope you all are doing well! We sure are thankful for you all and for any prayers for your daughters during this time while they are away from cell phones, the addicting world of facebook, twittering, and all the other "stuff" that can so easily pull at them! Thanks for entrusting us and please let me know if I can do anything for you!

Window to the K2 World,
