New Title for New Year's Resolutions...

Hey K2 Kanakuk Gals,
So it's 2011! Crazy, huh? (I'm quite nervous typing now that I know the Grammar Police is possibly reading this...I'm so confident I'm blowing it already!). I, like I shared earlier, was in bed by 10:30 pm on New Year's. What can I say I have a newborn. Surely that counts.

As I think of the New Year it does make my heart and soul stir with the idea of goals, resolutions and random thoughts. I know some hate the fact that it takes a New Year to reestablish goals and such, but for me I don't mind it. I think it is good to re-evaluate life and ask yourself, "Self, how's your heart?" I'm sure each of you asked yourself that exact question. Right?

Sometimes all this soul stirring can create an idea that everything about your days, your life and you need to change 1,000%. That my sweet friend is not what needs to happen. See comic below.I am definitely not saying you are perfect, GASP from some of you, but I am saying that some of you made a list in your journals or facebook or whatever of your resolutions and they were all about changing you...your weight, your friends, your who's dating who, your clothes...I wonder if the New Years Resolutions wouldn't be better titled..."How do I continue in 2011 to feel and know God's love for me and how, in turn, do I show that to others?" I know it's not as catchy, but that could be a subtitle.

So today make a new list. Throw away the one with numbers of weight loss, concerts to see this year, or the boy to kiss at Prom. Make the list of TRUTH in the form of God's love in your life. Sure think the world of each of you! Keep walking in truth, love and grace.

Be Awesome & Love Jesus,
