I have been sew busy here lately. I just think I am sew ready to take a break. JUST KIDDING! I just needed some lines so I could use the word "sew" in place of "so." (Note: if you have to explain the joke in blogging it's probably not a great joke and therefore best not to use. Oh well! I'm a rule breaker and I made myself laugh).
I have been making some curtains. My bestie and I headed to our fav fav fav fabric store and got all kinds of fabric for no specific project. I had some projects in mind but some fabric was "just cuz" purchases. I admit it. I have a fabric obsession. Let me know if there are help groups out there.
So the purpose of this post. If you have a grandmother, aunt, cousin or mom that sews...LEARN. I know right now at ages 13-18 you think it's not cool or fun or trendy. BUT I truly promise that it is a skill that you will want to have. So call you friend, mom, grandmama or aunt and beg for lessons. Give her money, pies or friday night bingo with grandma nights. Do whatever you have to, to learn this skill. I only wish I had sat down and learned from my mamma who is so good. Now I'm wingin' it and the finished products...well, let's just say you don't ever look close to my sewing stitches.
Call them...seriously go call them and set up lessons. Seriously, go.
Be awesome & Love Jesus,
