June 11...

Hey K2 Kanakuk Parents,
June 11 was a great day...a bit rainy but rainy around kamp just means crazy fun inside places! Here is what's happening today...

Devo: Esther 4:1-17
Verse of the Day: Jeremiah 29:11

Morning: As I'm typing it's just 1:13 pm on today (see I'm ahead of the game...woohoo!!). The girls are about to have lunch and the rain is still pitter pattering on the ground. So we had a bit of 1st period but then the rain came so we played stations: the game of pit, fish bowl (a charades type game), and I must admit I don't know the other two b/c I was running the fish bowl game and didn't hear what the other games were. I'm sure they were just a ball! The kids love rainy days to just hang and get time together. I think it is supposed to clear off in a few hours.

Afternoon: Hopefully periods 4-6 but if not then we will have another day of fun rainy day something...i think we will do a guys and girls split day so we can do something girly and fun! Those days are sometimes the favs!

Trips: Cabins 17 and 18 are on K-Wet.
Treetops: Cabins 15 and 16 got through a bit of the treetops but due to thunder/lightning we brought them down from the treetops.

Night: K-LIFE TONIGHT! Mr. Don Ford, president of AfterDark and the K2 Assistant to the Director, is speaking tonight. I must admit we are headed on time off so I don't know what his topic is on...he is a great, funny and awesome speaker and just got married last year. So he will keep them laughing but also speak truth into their hearts. I always pray on K-life nights for salvation for anyone who doesn't know Jesus and his unconditional love and for hearts that know Jesus but maybe aren't making great decisions in their lives based on the Lord and his wonderful plan for their life.

Sure can't wait to see everyone soon! It's been such a smooth term...which is rare for the 1st set of kampers. Yeah! After 12 years of working here I finally have a smooth term...hysterical!

Window to their World,
