June 3...

Hey K2 Kanakomo Parents (or aunts/uncles, grandparents, siblings, anyone really!?)
Well, I am super behind already...I promise I will catch up and it will be before you arrive next Saturday to pick up our Term 1 14-Nighters (T1 14N is the abbreviation). I promise! So let catch up begin...

Verse of the Day: None...it's Sunday and we have church.

Morning: We let them sleep in (always on Sunday). Had Koffee Kake and then church! It's an amazing place to be able to sit in a church that is overlooking a bazillion dollar view and listen to THE BEST SPEAKER IN THE WORLD (my husband spoke on Sunday...I'm a bit biased)

Afternoon: Lots of stuff...This is "stuff" day. We go through the kamp rules, how we want each to feel safe and secure and if they ever are not the different outlets they can share that with, take a swim test, get their new kamp clothing and take a cabin photo.

Treetops/Trips: None yet. They start tomorrow.

Night: Party & Tribals! Woohoo! We had our bedrock party and it was a blast. They ran around as a kabin looking for hidden people that had a dinosaur skeleton they had to assemble. The clues were lyrics to songs and they had to sing them to get the clue. I think a guys cabin won and everyone had a ball! Then they headed to tribals for each new kamper to get their tribe (Kiowa/Kickapoo are the 2 options for girls). If your daughter writes you and she says she is a kiowa you can send a fun package with red and white stuff. If she is a kickapoo they are yellow and blue. They love dressing in their tribal colors!

I am so excited you are checking in and please let me know if I can do anything for you all.

Window to their World,
