Today was the first day of a 36 hour party (don't worry, we had them sleep normal hours) and it was EPIC! Truly!
Devo: 1 Samuel 28:18-19
Verse of the Day: Joshua 1:9
Morning: Normal morning of periods 1-3.
Afternoon: The 36 hour party began. We had "candidates" (goofiest counselors in kamp) that were running for the K2 presidency. It was based on things like more FOB or more coffee cake...silly platforms with no true connection to real politics. It was hysterical! We had stations all afternoons with different games run by the candidates.
Treetops: cabins 9 and 10.
Trips: Cabins 13-14 were at K-Wet.
Night: We continued the party with a delicious USA pizza (just delicious pizza made by our fabulous kitchen) and then had the "Debate." Again, it was ridiculous questions with even more crazy answers! It was hysterical...for example we had a counselor who was named Fletch "Fist Pump" Ferguson. Hysterical! After the debate we had a dance party that each candidate got to pick 2 songs for the dance time. I think everyone was dancing! So much fun!
The hubs and I had a quick date night tonight and we went to the Persimmon Blueberry Farm! Moms and dads and grandpas and grandmas...YOU MUST GO if you are coming to closing ceremonies! Their blueberry muffins are YUMMY! And our personal favorite is the blackberry cobbler...seriously best you will ever have.
