June 23...

Hey Kanakuk Term 1 & 1B Parents,
Well, 1 more day and we shall see you all at K2 or if you aren't able to make it to closing 2 more days and you will have a sweet reunion with your daughter! Woohooo! We have just had an unbelieveable Term 1 (and Term 2 13Day)...it's just been incredible! Here is the run down of the day:

Morning: We had a few periods of specialty and then we did competition practice. Competition practice is so the girls know how to "play" their competition for June 24th when we play for real and it's Kickapoos vs. Kiowas for tribal points!

Afternoon: Bill Lantz Memorial Pentathlon! I love pentathlon day! The kampers can individually run the short or long individual (swim, jump rope, canoe, run, archery...are the 5 events to the course) or they can do one of those things for their "team." Each cabin is a team and most of the girls do the team race where they pick 2 runners, 2 swimmers, 2 archers, etc. It's an awesome finisher to an awesome term! I always get teary eyed as cabins come sprinting down the main road to the finish line all together! Love it!

Night: Final Campfire. Tonight Joe White gave the last charge to our kampers. It is a special night and always, prayerfully, solidifies (not sure of spelling of this word?) their hearts to know of their worth in Christ Jesus alone.

Window to the K2 World,
