Hey Kanakuk Term...well, some Term 1, Term 1B and now starting Term 2/2B,Today we say farewell to such an awesome term and awesome group of kampers. BUT we also say hello to a whole new set. It's an emotionally charged day where you pray for the kampers leaving that the things the Lord has done will not just be a 13 or 25 day "thing" but will truly bring about life change in their every day world...respecting the guidelines set by you guys as their parents, having a daily quiet time, walking away from a group of girls that are not great influences...the list could go on and on. I pray so often that Kamp is never about Kamp...that it is about kids leaving encouraged to look and live more like Jesus every day!
If you are a "new" term parents...welcome! This is just a snapshot of the K2 Girls' side of kamp. Enjoy! Oh, yeah, I will probably refer to you as "Term 2 and Term 2A parents." Term 2A equates to Term 3 13-day term. Hope that makes sense...
