July 18...

Hey Kanakuk Term 2/4 Parents,
Well, today is a crazy one. The run down of the day is below but also the DETAILS OF CLOSING CEREMONIES are also down there. Hope it helps and sorry to just now be posting it...

Women of the Bible Study: Esther / Esther 1-10
Verse: Hebrews 12:1-2

Morning: We have church this morning but after that begins tribal competitions and packing. It's a somewhat crazy morning!

Afternoon: We will have an all K2 party! We open all our water stuff and the kampers get one last day to have a ball before you all arrive!

Night: See below at this point...

JULY 18TH CLOSING CEREMONIES:
5:00 pm Parents' Early Luggage Pick Up / Clothing (Store) Open
5:30 pm Picnic for Parents
6:00 pm Girl Kampers come to Picnic: REUNION!
6:45 pm Family Vespers (Joe White speaks to all parents and kampers)
7:30 pm Kamper Recognition (Each cabin does individual cabin time)
8:00 pm Tribal Flag Ceremony (We announce which tribe won the 'term')
8:30 pm Awards Ceremony
10:00 pm Finish Awards (You can take your kamper this night or they can stay 1 more night)

JULY 19TH MORNING:
8:30 am Parents' Luggage Pick up
9:00 am Kampers Depart
(So we have a low key morning of the 19th. You can arrive at 8:30 am and get luggage then kampers just eat and leave this morning. We do all 'ceremony' stuff the night of 18th)"

I hope that helps and basically we do all our closing ceremonies on the night of the 18th. The morning of the 19th is simply breakfast and goodbyes! What a great term...I can't believe we only have 1 more term of kids (2 terms of 13 dayers!).

P.S. Don't forget to sign up SUPER FAST for next summer since we are doing 5 terms of 14 night terms and 2 terms of 28 night terms. It's going to fill fast!
