July 20...

Hey K2 Kanakuk Term 45/4 Parents,
It's 10:57 pm and holler I'm all caught up...well, except for pictures! Man, I gotta get pics up! Sure thankful for today as it was an incredible day...dare I say, AWECREPIC!

Devo: Luke...Jesus, Lord Over All.

Morning: POD DAYS! We started something new this year called Wednesday Pod Days. Basically it's to break up the routine of their every day normal schedule. Each kamper got to sign up for a morning pod and an afternoon pod. PODs are special classes and out of the norm of kamp. It might be Pool fun and sun but instead of just normal pool fun and sun it's "Kanakuk Resort" and our staff wears uniforms, brings ice cold water to each kamper all 3 hours, and delivers a tropical smoothie with a straw with fruit on it. So it's all about memories and making it special. Here are some pod choices (I know I won't be able to remember them all):

* caving
* kayak/bluff jumping
* great questions
* canoe/bluff jumping
* sail/waverunners/blob
* pool/waterslides
* sam's throne (rapelling mountain)
* missions (they go and do a service project at Kids Across America)
* dogwood canyon (they do a nature walk at dogwood canyon)
* cheer
* strength and conditioning (they do this video called "Insanity" and work out)

Okay, that's all I can remember...

Afternoon: Pod day continued with their afternoon pod choice.

Night: K-LIFE TONIGHT! Dr. Joe White is speaking to them now and it's his outdoor creation talk. It's awesome to be up on the field under the majestic stars and to hear of the Creator. To know that God created the whole earth but also intimately created each girl and guy sitting up there...wow!

Have a great night padres!

Window to their World,
