June 8...

{source}
Hey K2 Kanakuk Term 1 Parents,
Oh, Wednesdays....you are so new to me and I have decided I like you! We have begun a totally new program. For parents that know K2 lingo we did not have higher ground this year. Instead we are doing what we call "Pod" days. Basically it's a break from their normal schedule to do some "outside of the box" activities such as but not limited to:
missions (service project at Kids Across America)
waverunners/blob
kayak to bluff jumping
meat for meat (memorizing scripture and going to pizza hut on lake)
cheer
tennis
pool fun and sun (aka Kanakuk Resort)
Dogwood Canyon nature hike
Caving
Hike/Rapelling

The list could go on. Your daughters go to pick either an all day pod (there were only 2) or 2 1/2 day pods. From all the girls I have asked they seemed to love it...we learned a lot today with it being our first day but all in all it went great.

Devo: Luke...Jesus, Lord Over All.

Morning: They picked a pod. Blast!

Afternoon: Either continued their pod day  if it was all day or did another 1/2 day pod.

Night: K-LIFE TONIGHT! Dr. Joe White spoke on one of his greatest passions...The Creation Talk. He had the kids outside under the stars and spoke about how vast God is and yet still intimately knows each of us. It was so great and such a beautiful night to stand in awe of our creator.

Each day we also have a 2 cabins do Summit. Also known as Treetops. The cabins climb rock walls, do an entire ropes course, and end with our amazing zipline. Today it was cabin 3 and 4. I will try and remember to add this in.

Okay, off to bed...Sure can't wait to meet you all or at least have you here in 9 days!

Window to their World,

kanakuk ashley robbins
