Hey K2 Kanakuk Term 23/3 Parents,
Today is full of last time specialties, final competitions and packing...and oh, yeah and awesome pool party!

Devo: All 3 Johns (1st, 2nd and 3rd)...Walk in the Light, in Love, and in Truth.

Morning: We had the final competition today for tribes...we had volleyball, basketball, soccer and football (our own version) all happening at the same time. It was awecrepic! I think I overheard that the Kiowas had won basketball and possibly soccer and volleyball too...hoping the Kicks won football??!? After competition we sent the girls to start packing! It's quite the tornado in the cabin area I'm sure right about now?!

Afternoon: We have 2 hours of specialties this afternoon and then we are having an all girl pool party 6th period! It should be a blast!

Night: FINAL CAMPFIRE. This night is amazing. It's the last "speaker" we have and Joe simply shares a last challenge to leave your daughters' hearts knowing that God's way is better than anything the world can throw at them. His love and His grace is enough...totally and 100% enough. It's an awesome night of worship and just a last night heart check before you all come!

Night: FINAL TRIBAL. This is the nigth the kampers split into their tribes and have one last rally together. The chiefs and princesses get to share one last time an encouraging and challenging word to their tribe and it's a blast! Then all the kampers come up and we have an ice cream sundae social. Yummy!!!!

Hey K2 Kanakuk Term 23/3 Parents,
What a day!!!! We had awesome weather (Triathlete had their Eco-Challenge which is like this big adventure race all around the kamp) and we had our 1/2 Day Party! It was AWECREPIC!

Devo: I Peter...Suffering for Christ.

Morning: Normal periods 1-3. Treetops was cabins 3 and 4.

Afternoon: We had all our water activities open and the cabins traveled together to each of them. The dock, pool, waterslides, etc were all going full force. It was a blast! Oh...it was the Lamplantis party! (Atlantis but mixed with Lampe = Lamplantis!)

Night: LAMPLANTIS PARTY! We had an awesome night! We had yummy gyros for supper with the deeeelicious brownies that were just perfectly not done! Gooey! Yum! Then we played all these games...one including a not live (sounds better than dead) squid/octopus thingy! The guys were loving it and the girls squealed but loved it too! We had a rings competition for candy for the winning cabin and the dock was open (and I didn't make it down there to even see what was happening...so sorry!). Then a huge pool party with a splash competition between all the guys on one side of the pool and all the girls on the other side of the pool! It was so much fun!

Trip: Girls cabin 11 and 12 are headed back in the morning from K-Wet. I'm sure they are having a ball!

Hey K2 Kanakuk Term 23/3 Parents,
Sundays...AHHHHH!!! Love 'em!

OUR VERY OWN DON FORD GOT MARRIED ON THIS DAY! Your kiddos got to line the road as the exited our K2 chapel and walked to their limo!! It was awesome!

Devo: No devo b/c of church.

Morning: coffee cake, church and FCA huddle groups where they discuss the speakers. Awesome morning!

Afternoon: Chillax day! We had a big day of fun! The kids had to go around to different water activities to get a clue that finally led them to the dining hall for a sno cone! Every Sunday you gotta have sno cones!

Night: CROSSTALK. I truly can't even begin to tell you how incredible this night was. We had the kampers break up into groups and they had 6 speakers to rotate around too. Each speaker was only 4 minutes long and they shared their story up to the point where they were desperate for a Savior...we had each with a cardboard sign that said their "identity." So like my friend Lacey Jo spoke who was abandoned by her dad so her side said "abandoned by my earthly father." But then all the kids came to the girls gym where Joe spoke of the cross. He showed clips from the movie The Passion and walked the kids through 3 nails (1. repentance, 2. turn and run from your hurt, sin, etc 3. no fair catch, don't abuse grace, running for Jesus). It was my favorite CrossTalk in 11 years of being here! It was just an amazing night!

Afternoon: Normal afternoon of periods 4-6.

Night: KAMPER TALENT SHOW. I am so sad to say that I missed this night due to a certain mom turning 60! (certain meaning my own momma!). It is an awesome night where kampers try out and there has to be 1 act per cabin and they are silly, serious, singing, weird talents, I mean everything. It's so much fun!

Trip: Cabins 13 and 14 are at K-Wild. Cabins 7 and 8 are at K-Wet.

Hey K2 Kanakuk Term 23/3 Parents,
Here is the day for you all. Hope you aren't missing your girls too much. K2 girls' side is going great and we are having a blast!

Devo: I Timothy...Instruction in leadership

Morning: POD DAY! If you aren't sure what POD day means you can look back to my post for the date of June 22 or June 29. It explains more.

Afternoon: POD DAY CONTINUED...

Night: K-LIFE TONIGHT!! We split tonight and the monthers went to the boys gym to hear Seth Higgins, the K2 men's assistant director, speak. I only caught a bit of this and it was a story of the Alamo part so I'm not sure the main meat of the message. Joe had the 2 weekers and did the purity talk. Priceless! The bell (we have the kids come ring a bell when they give their whole heart to Jesus) rang several times last night! It was AMAZING!
